December 20, 2007 (Las Vegas, Nevada) – A website dedicated towards denouncing the 23-month sentence given to football star Michael Dwayne Vick has been put up and even provides the platform for selling t-shirts with sarcastically humorous sayings about the incarcerated celebrity’s dog fighting fiasco. A huge chunk of the derived sales will also even go to the National Pit Bull Rescue Center.

The Vick23 website (www.vick23.com) strongly condemns the seemingly light sentence given to Vick, who was found guilty of dog fighting. Such act is inhumane and is an act of cruelty to animals, which is why it is considered illegal in all 50 states of the United States of America, according to the people behind Vick23.com.

“He could outrun the beefy arms of a defensive lineman but he couldn’t escape the long arm of the law,” according to the people behind Vick23.com.

Although already sentenced by the US District Court Judge Henry Hudson, many of Vick’s supporters believe that the verdict given is unfair. The Falcons have suspended Vick at the moment, although still undecided as to the next step to be taken regarding the situation. The Atlanta chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) believes that just because the football star has made some wrong decisions, it should not have to cost him his career in the NFL.
